La Fiaschetteria
Via Borgo Santa Caterina 8, Bergamo
Today I want to take you through one hidden gem of the town where I live, which I consider one of the best place to taste some traditional salumi e formaggi from Bergamo.
La Fiaschetteria, is located in the hearth of Borgo Santa Caterina, one of the most vibrant neighbour of the city.
The place is a tiny cave bohémienne whose owner, Gianni, is deeply devoted to research and offer to his clients km 0 quality products from Lombardia and the valleys of Bergamo.
Mountains cured meats, rural culture cheeses and an incredible red wine (Nebbiolo and Barbera d’Alba) served in china bowls, are what makes this place unique.
I suggest to always call and make a reservation before as the place is tiny and get easily full booked. However, even if the place is tiny, if you are a good doggo like me, Gianni always welcome me in a nice way and let me stay next to mom and dad.
Oh, I almost forgot, if you are a group of 4, don’t miss the opportunity to try Gianni’s raclette, a revisitation of the French one, with salumi and formaggi from Bergamo.
Doggo Bag approved!
